For the porridge you say that the mix needs to be boiled, whereas for the laddoo you have not mentioned cooking. Would it be okay for us to consume sathu maavu without cooking,as in laddoo.
Recipe for Sathu Maavu

Rice varieties
We can get store bought Healthy mix that comes in very popular brands. But the popular brands also sell the mix of pulses and nuts which we can take and make the powder at home. You can also dry it in the sun also but it is preferable to dry roast the ingredients. You can cook and make porridge or dosa or laddu etc.

Take 1 tbsp of the sathu maavu, mix with 1 cup of water and cook like before. Once it starts thickening, add the prepared jaggery syrup and switch off. This sathu maavu can be prepared as a porridge and given safely to babies as young as 6 months. Sick people can have this nutritious kanji while recovering. People on diet can have this for breakfast as the porridge keeps your full for a long time.

Note – Instead of red rice, you can use white par boiled rice or brown par boiled rice. If you buy branded organic ingredients, you can skip this step as mostly it is clean and can be used as such.
